Check-ins (Script)

The following is a suggested introduction to the check-in script, typically used only at the beginning of a net.

This is <insert callsign> acting as Net Control for this session of the OM International Sideband Society <insert band> net. This is a traffic, worked all States and awards type net. You do not have to be a member to check-in. All amateur General Class and above are welcome.

Traditionally Net Controllers call for check-ins from a specific set / group of stations first, before general membership. This is at the discretion of the NCS but is highly recommended. A suggested script is below and can be modified as the NCS sees fit.

We will begin by taking check-ins for QRP, Mobile, Portal, DX stations or any First Timers, please call now.

Once any special stations are called, one can move on to a call for General Check-ins. A suggested script is below and can be modified as the NCS sees fit. There are multiple variations on this, and the one most comfortable to the NCS can be used. This is only meant as a guide.
