Check-ins (Rule)
Check-ins are not allowed until NCS gains control of the frequency and calls for check-ins to occur. Stations wishing to check in should call with their full callsign and OMISS number (optional). NCS or a designated relay must hear the station check in on the air in order to be placed on the worklist.
It is acceptable for any member who is checked into the list, but not a designated relay, to assist with checking in a station that clearly NCS or one of the designated relays cannot hear by saying “relay” on the air and waiting to be acknowledged. When propagation and conditions are not favorable the NCS, at his/her discretion, may accept a relay on AIM from any OMISS Certified NCS or VIP of the club. All relays should be attempted on air prior to relaying on AIM by saying “relay” and waiting to be acknowledged.
Under no circumstances should check-ins be taken on AIM alone. All check ins should be attempted on air. Additionally, no check-ins are allowed over any OMISS Digital Mode frequency / room. This includes but is not limited to Fusion, D-STAR, DMR or P25.
Certified NCS stations and VIPs can be determined by the presence of a N or V within the QSL column in Netlogger.
